Viewer 2.1 focuses on the first two seconds. The runtime is smaller, the default configuration's still image is issued ahead of the interactive asset, and the reserved box matches the final render exactly, so pages no longer shift as the viewer arrives.
Keyboard control is the other change worth calling out. Rotation, zoom, and configuration options are reachable without a pointer, and focus is visible throughout. This was the most requested item from brands operating under accessibility procurement rules.
Upgrading is a version bump for embeds using the hosted script; nothing in the embed API changed. Self-hosted deployments should re-pull the asset bundle, since texture packing changed and older bundles will not match the new loader.
One deprecation: the legacy autoRotate attribute is now ignored in favour of the motion preference the visitor's own system reports. Anything relying on forced rotation should move to the new playback option before the next release.
